    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Treasury Management Officer will be responsible for marketing, selling and implementing commercial depository services, treasury management products to commercial prospects and customers as well as other bank customers and prospective customers in support of the overall goal of expanding the banks deposit base.

    This position assists in the installation and supports Treasury Management products, including but not limited to sales calls, demonstrations, product training/education, correspondence, and technical support for existing clients.

    The Treasury Management Officer will oversee the development of all related products and services to maintain or enhance competitive positions.

    The responsibilities include planning, directing, organizing, controlling and implementing the products and services commensurate with the objectives of the Commercial Lending Department.

    The Treasury Management Officer is also encouraged to collaborate with leadership within the commercial lending team to have exposure to professional centers of influence by analyzing borrowers' financial data to access credit worthiness and working in coordination with other departments including deposit operations to deliver the premier customer experience as it relates to treasury sales and service.

    The incumbent must demonstrate understanding and aptitude in all aspects of business deposit services, including product knowledge, operational processes, and account analysis, cash management services, internet banking and alternative delivery channels used and promoted by the bank.

    Solicits, establishes and maintains new commercial banking relationships for the bank with a focus on treasury management products to develop core deposit growthPrepare RFPs for new and existing customersIncreases the bank's profitability by using a professional, consultative selling approach in expanding the use of Treasury Management services amongst Kleberg Banks business customers and prospectsGathers data and other information needed to design specific programs and prepare written Treasury Management proposals for presentation to commercial customersActs as the primary liaison between customers and service departments of the Bank to support sales implementation and service issuesRegularly follows up with customers to ensure service quality and resolve service issues as they ariseProvides consultative Treasury Management expertise to the commercial lending team, current customers and prospectsCross-sells treasury management products to existing customers within the banks markets; Collaborates with marketing on new products and product enhancements that address customer needs and provide opportunities to grow market shareEnsures credit review and risk rating practices are complete, accurate and ongoingFollows-up on customer and commercial lender referrals to ensure the bank reaches its overall deposit goalsMaintains a business referral network.

    Attains established individual, department and bank goals through active participation in sales management and call programsContributes to the Banks deposit growth strategies and income goals by generating additional revenues from the sale of Treasury Management products and servicesUnderstands, offers and provides payment processing solutions to merchants or converts them from existing systemsRepresents the bank in the communityCOMPETENCIES:

    EXPERIENCE:
    Minimum qualificationsA high school diploma is required5+ years of Commercial banking/lending experience and/or Portfolio Management with working knowledge of Treasury Management ServicesWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, high production environmentThe ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writingStrong presentation, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting or related fieldProven track record in treasury management product sales10+ years of banking with emphasis on commercial lending and depository accounts along with related treasury management products and services


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
    This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


    TRAVEL:
    The employee is required to travel from time to time to customer sites

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to utilize job specific software and hardware components.
