The Role

We're looking for a talented and motivated Tax Senior to join a fast-growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with individuals and closely held businesses.  TSS serves clients in the automotive retail, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial CPA with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will primarily be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual and business (flow-through) tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review individual and business tax returns depending on client complexity
• Review tax information supplied by the client and obtained open items if necessary
• Assist in ongoing tax planning and tax projections accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders 
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise
• Ensure deliverable deadlines are met
• Research tax law updates
• Research tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements

• 3+ years with a public accounting firm preparing and reviewing individual and business income tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment

Preferences

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx Engagement, and QuickBooks
• Active CPA or EA
