    Coordinates and maintains inventory management for the tool room needs
    Orders new stock and unpacks and stores new stock and equipment

    SMC Spares Management - uses the IQMS Database as the repository for all materials that are kept in stock.

    These materials are treated just like inventory with regards to ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing.


    Inventory Management:
    Establishing Minimum Balances (Order Points) for all stock items
    Establishing Lot Sizes (Standard Order Quantities) for all stock items
    Regular review of Spare Component Stock Reports and Usage Reports to identify items needing replenishment
    Performing and documenting formal Cycle Counts on all Devens Spare Component locations on a regular basis (i.e. Cycle through entire inventory approx. Spare Component Inventory – (Stock Items / Stock Item Replenishment)
    Expensed Purchases – (Non-Stock materials or Services w/Approved Purch. Project Purchases – (Project Funded materials or Services w/Approved Purch.


    Note:
    Some of these may need to be item numbered for project tracking purposes (i.e. Customer funded spare parts).


    Stock Item Issuance:
    This is required to maintain, a perpetual inventory system.
    Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
    Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
