- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource personnel and medical files, records, and documentation.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource and medical files and records.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Field questions from applicants and employees relative to policies, benefits, claims, etc.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave administration, and open enrollment.
- Assist and backup payroll administration as needed.
- Assist and backup recruiting and onboarding as needed.
- Coordinate benefits processing by handling enrollments, qualified changes, claims, 401(k) administration, and compliance testing/audits.
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and monthly invoice reconciliations.
- Run reports for benefit timelines, ACA compliance, EEO compliance, etc.
- Assist with employee wellness campaigns.
- Stay abreast of all regulatory employment laws to ensure compliance.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and best practices.
- 3+ years of direct and progressive HR experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, communications, and interaction skills required to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Knowledge of pertinent federal and state employment regulations.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
