    Role accountabilities:
    In this role, your responsibilities will involve performing remedial system O&M, troubleshooting, optimization, and monitoring/sampling.

    You will ensure that Health and Safety in the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe and controlled manner.

    You will assure integrity, cleanliness, and security of system buildings/enclosures and equipment.

    And provide prompt communication to the project management team when equipment is not safe and/or functioning at optimal performance to meet project objectives.

    The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will also read and have a general understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.

    Effective time management, the ability to work with diverse people and skill sets, and the ability to adapt to changing work environments will be crucial in this role.

    You will utilize solid written and verbal communication skills and sound judgement to make good decisions benefitting the project and the client.

    Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust treatment plant machinery and equipment including pumps, valves, motors, meters, tanks, reservoirs, feeders, and other equipment to ensure system is operating at optimal operation for the established metrics including Municipal, State, and Federal codes for environmental protection of waterways and air quality
    Performs system preventative maintenance procedures and checks. Ensure all activities are being performed in accordance with our Quality Management System Provide prompt communication to project management team when equipment is not safe and/or functioning at optimal performance to meet project objectives
    Implement immediate corrective actions when an alarm is triggered or system data indicates a potential safety, operational or compliance issue
    Review and evaluate operational data and provide recommendations for improving system performance to meet system objectives
    Collects system samples according to established permit and operational requirements.
    Calibrates and maintains controllers, electrodes, flow and control equipment. Determine and prepare appropriate ratios of chemical mixes for batch treatments (where applicable)
    Installs, maintains, and performs data download from a host of smart telemetry devices internet of things (IOT)
    Oversee subcontractors to perform selected operation, maintenance/repair of systems, preventative maintenance, and monitoring in accordance with Health and Safety requirements
    Record all project observations, readings, and activities as required for regulatory, client, and safety record keeping requirements in a timely Manner (Using electronic, field books, tablets, or paper forms)


    Qualifications & Experience:

    Required Qualifications:
    2 years of mechanical system operations and maintenance experience
    Valid Driver's License


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Wastewater or environmental water treatment system experience
    Wastewater or water license certification
    40-Hour HAZWOPER training
    Confined Space Entry training
    Behavioral-Based Safety training
    Knowledge of programable logic controllers
    RCRA hazardous waste and DOT waste handling training
    Fluent in Microsoft suite of software (word, excel, Teams, SharePoint) and familiar with PowerBI, MS Access and PowerPoint)

    We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $$65,790 - $98,685 dependent on experience.
