    CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associates Degree relevant to Technology
    • Technology Systems Specialist (or willing to obtain)
    • Minimum three years experience with e-Rate and WVEIS
    • Experience as a Technology Director preferred
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    The Technology/WVEIS Coordinator assists the Superintendent, central office administrators, principals, teachers, and students with administrative and technical assistance in a variety of ways related to technology and to supervise the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of county computer systems, file servers, distance learning, phone systems, surveillance and security systems and food service hardware..

    REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Serve as the County WVEIS Contact
    • ?Serve as County Data Security Contact
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and community
    • Develop long-term and short-term plans for meeting technology needs of the district
    • Server configuration, installation, periodical maintenance, fixing any problems and integrating new servers when necessary to replace an outdated servers.
    • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate technology concerns
    • Plan, test and deploy networking products, software and migrations
    • Attend appropriate local, state, and national trainings and/or meetings
    • Work collaboratively with central office, principals, and teachers
    • Installation and configuration of routers and switches.
    • Maintain inventory of equipment and materials
    • Maintain an electronic grade reporting system
    • Installation of Access Points and cabling to network room.
    • Assist in the development of administrative guidelines for technology services for student and staff use
    • Develop, maintain and monitor policies and procedures to assure compliance with federal and state code
    • Installation of cameras, camera repair, moving cameras, and cabling for cameras
    • Configure and manage anti-virus and risk management applications
    • Installation of phone servers, routers, management of E911 and emergency alerts, configuring phones and deploying phones.
    • Installation of IP speakers for various intercom systems and bells systems in secondary schools.
    • Management and maintenance of Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
    • Writing requests for proposal for new projects following the policy guidelines of WV State Board Policy 8200.
    • Managing all procurement procedures for Technology Equipment.
    • Supporting and collaborating with other staff members to procure equipment and address office needs.
    • Act as WVEIS Contact: Be a liaison between WVDE and staff in the county.
    • Oversee the Data Quality Report, October Collections, end of the year closing report and processes.
    • Set-up all new users in WVEIS, Email, Clever and other programs
    • Complete all transfer processes in WVEIS for all new employees.
    • Oversee and maintain all licensing agreements for data, phones, and cameras.
    • Manage all cell phones and maintain inventory.
    • Maintain all student and staff inventories.
    • Conduct data breech investigations
    • Serve as the County Protected Critical Infrastructure Information (PCII) Contact
    • Maintain County Website
    • Oversee the single sign on process.
    • Develop, maintain and deploy all digital forms.
    • Oversee the adding of users to all platforms including Clever, WVEIS, Droplet.
    • Oversee the annual development of school schedules in WVEIS (includes training of principal and secretaries annually).
    • Develop the internal accountability calendar and set-up the report card formats associated with WVEIS.
    • Act as the county lead on any issues associated with filtering or email accounts.
    • Oversee the annual E-Rate Process including all RFPs associated with Category 1 and Category 2.
    • Oversee audio and video equipment purchasing and installation.
    • Manage the Meraki Dashboard and set firewalls for the county.
    • Repair devices.
    • Coordinate with appropriate CTE students for repairs.
    • Complete the Technology Plan Annually.
