Data Engineer

Pay Rate: $74/Hr W2 only

Workplace Type: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week

Location: Kent, WA

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Duration: 6-Months

Responsibilities for Data Engineer:

Monitor, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, databases, and related infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, processing and storage in a timely manner
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement correction actions to prevent and mitigate
System failures and performance bottlenecks Be part of the on-call rotation and occasionally work weekends
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable and automated data solutions around pipelines, databases and storage systems.

Qualifications for Data Engineer:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years in data operations, development operation, or related role.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies(eg., Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure such as code, continuous integration, and deployment automation.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and testing automation
