    This position is for an established Buyer/Planner who works under general supervision. This role will be responsible for placing & managing intercompany orders to support repair operations in our Lenexa facility. This individual will work with other functional groups to meet our required turnaround time for units to our customers.

    This is an onsite role based in Lenexa, KS.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Place and manage intercompany purchase orders to internal suppliers.
  • Create and monitor purchase orders for sending customer units out for 3rd party repairs.
  • Manage invoices to ensure correct & timely payment.
  • Use exception reporting to track shortages and improve delivery rates.
  • Use multiple tools and data sources to execute strategies to ensure proper availability of parts for the repair station.
  • Develop repair schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, capability of workers, machines/ equipment, and material availability.
  • Work closely with customer service to provide return dates for units.
  • Escalating part issues and collaborating with the relevant parties for resolution.
  • Assist with the setup and/or sourcing of new parts needed to perform repairs.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within the aerospace industry or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Supply Chain, Scheduling, and/or Planning processes preferred.
  • MRP/ERP (SAP) system experience preferred.
