- In conjunction with the Department Director, the Manager of Nursing develops the vision and goals for the unit, cascades those goals to staff, and assists the department in accomplishing them.
- As many areas operate 24/7 this role requires meetings and rounding outside of normal business hours including evenings/nights and/or weekends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Nursing Managers at Magnet Facilities only are required to have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- 3 years of full time clinical experience, including one year in a Regional or Community NICU.
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in the NICU.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California - Current and in good standing.
- BLS issued from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Women's COE: ACLS and NRP
- NCC certification in specialty
