    Title: Network System Engineer
    Location: Indianapolis, IN
    Duration: 6 Months+
    Rate: $ /hr

    Cisco Route/Switch

    I'm not expecting this to be anything too intense as they stated it'd be "mostly switching, some routing." They mentioned Cisco 9500s, 9300s, and IE 4000s. All that gear will be tied into Free RADIUS for management. This environment will be connected to Rolls-Royce corporate through a firewall which Rolls-Royce will be manage.

    The route/switch technical requirements do not seem demanding, just the time requirements. I asked for an equipment list but we haven't seen it come through, yet.

    Datacenter

    Here are the skills from the data center that we need for Rolls Royce:

    • VMware
    • Windows Server including Active Directory, Certificate services
    • Radius authentication
    • HPE Servers
    • Dell Unity storage iSCSI for VMware connectivity. Some NFS shares on Unity also
    • Some VMs run Ubuntu Linux but they have that skillset (so a nice to have)

    The main skill gaps were Active Directory and the HPE servers.

    Then add the networking skills might want to check with Derek to get specifics, but it sounded like Cisco switching with some basic routing. I wrote down 9300/9500 models.
