RN Manager Emergency DepartmentResearch Medical CenterShift: Days - Full-Time - No WeekendsAbout this unit:

• The teamwork in our 23-bed department is excellent.
• patient visits daily
• Our shared governance council in the ED and the involvement of our staff in the shared governance in the hospital allow our nurses to truly impact the decisions that are made in the department and the overall hospital.
• Because we are an accredited chest pain center, a comprehensive stroke center, and a level one trauma center we see some of the most complex patients that allow for an incredible learning environment for any nurse

Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing leadership for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and safety in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Collaborates with physicians and other departments to coordinate the needs of patients and their families.
• Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Supports the mission and vision of the facility, division and company.
• Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing performance improvement process.

Qualifications Current state of Missouri RN or Compact licensure required.
BLS and ALS certification required and maintained. EPNC (or PALS) required and TNCC or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) required within one year of hire. Three years previous clinical experience preferred.
