- Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels

- Implement and maintain a robust data governance framework that aligns with and supports the use of a data mesh architecture and policies as code
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various teams to comprehend the landscape and to ensure data governance strategies are efficiently implemented.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices and experience instantiating data governance principles and standards
- Experience in decentralized and federated data architecture models
- Experience in identifying and managing privacy risks, security threats, and compliance issues and formulate mitigation strategies
- Experience establishing data quality goals and developing methods and systems to validate input and output of data to ensure data integrity and consistency
- Familiarity with data modeling tools, data visualization software, databases, and other relevant technologies is crucial
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7+ Years of professional related experience
- DoD or government experience preferred
- External client delivery and solution knowledge spanning data management, data governance and data strategy
- Proven track record of understanding business challenges and translating them into value-add solutions- strong analytical and problem-solving skills - actively participate in brainstorming, identifying core issues and effectively finding and using data to manage complex analysis
- Engagement leadership experience including: managing junior level consulting staff, providing regular status updates, and monitoring project economics and hands on technical expertise as well as managing client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites

Our Data Governance Specialist opportunity requires a strong understanding in data governance framework including relations to data mesh architecture
This role will require working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services and manage business development activities
Your key responsibilities You'll spend most of your time working with client(s) to deliver the latest data focused technologies and practices to design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich, and analyze data from multiple sources

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $213,000
The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,100
