    Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 by 14 obstetricians, pediatricians, and family practitioners as Odessa Women's and Children's Hospital.

    Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Hospital in June 2007, Odessa Regional Hospital purchased Alliance Hospital and changed its name to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services.

    In 2015, ORMC acquired Basin Healthcare Center. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

    Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.


    About the shift:
    Full Time Patient Care Tech for PEDI FT Days


    About the position:
    Provides indirect patient care in the maternity setting consistent with the unit's standards of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge. Prepares and compiles records on the maternal patient care unit. Floats to different patient care units as necessary. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.

    Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

    Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Participates in Performance Improvement Activities. Provides care to age range from neonate to geriatric.


    Regulatory Requirements:
    High school graduate or equivalent.
    Current Certified Nurse Assistant Licensure from an accredited program. Current BLS certification from American Heart Association. Steward Health Care is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
