    Job Description Job Description The Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the ambulatory surgery center.

    They will assume responsibility as a department lead of the OR, Preop, and PACU areas.

    The Director of Nursing is also responsible for overseeing the center's quality improvement, risk management and infection control programs, as well as education of the teammates.


    The successful candidate will, at a minimum:

    Provide leadership oversight, alongside Administrator, to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility's policies & procedures.

    Demonstrate respect for co-workers & leadership and develops positive working relationships within departments.
    Provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the clinical areas of the facility.
    Recognize legal policy limits and individual practice.

    Function as a working Nursing Manager, taking on the role of admitting nurse, procedural nurse &/or recovery room nurse, as needed.

    Coordinate purchasing of clinical equipment/supplies to provide optimum patient care within budget allowances.
    Schedule & staff the center as efficiently as possible.
    QualificationsAssociates degree in nursing required, a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

    Current RN licensure.5 years Nursing Management experience preferred.1 year OR experience in ASC Pain Management, GI, Ortho & Podiatry preferred.

    Successful completion of PALS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS & BLS & PALS certification.

    Familiarity with state, Medicare and AAAHC accreditation preferred.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Strong organizational and analytical skills.
