- A knowledge base in the designated area of specialty or equivalent/necessary training.
- Demonstrated skills and competency as an instructor.
- Understanding of conflict resolution, dedication, and mentoring concepts.
- Good communication skills.

- Ensure that age-appropriate activities are implemented for youth, grades K-6.
- Build positive relationships with youth and staff.
- Encourage youth to actively participate in all available activities; promote respect and teamwork.
- Provide a safe, structured environment for student learning.
- Attend all required training.
- Maintain and supervise the use of all specialty-related equipment, reporting necessary maintenance and updates regularly to the Program Director.
- Make periodic reports/announcements about designated specialties.
- Report to and provide necessary assistance to the Director and Unit Leaders when specialties are not in session.
- Participate in the camp program, including all-camp events and opening and closing days.

Bronx House Summer Day Camp Instructors will be responsible for conducting fun, engaging instruction to campers. This position runs 7 1⁄2 weeks from June 27-August 16. 9:45am-3:45pm, Mon-Fri. Transportation is provided from the Bronx to camp daily if needed.Qualifications:
