    Description

    Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment.

    The Volunteer and Program Assistant will:

    • Provide one-on-one support to clients by creating and updating resumes
    • Provide one-on-one support to clients by conducting practice interviews and providing constructive feedback
    • Provide one-on-one support to clients by assisting with online applications
    • Facilitate job search preparation classes
    • Assist in administering the range of Chrysalis' volunteer management and client efforts through data entry, coordinating, training or otherwise supporting Chrysalis volunteers and monitoring/coordinating administrative processes related to client training and one-on-one services
    • Complete other tasks related to serving clients, as assigned
    • Assist as needed with coverage across all Chrysalis sites
    • Develop and update Volunteer & Program team's internal content mediums

    Qualifications

    • Highly motivated by Chrysalis' mission and desire to improve social and economic fabric of our community
    • Teaching/facilitation/training experience highly desired
    • Prior experience working with adults with high barriers to employment highly desired
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and intercultural skills highly desired
    • Microsoft Word, typing and internet research proficiency required
    • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency desired
    • Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required
