    Role Description

    This is a part-time hybrid role (will consider fully remote) for an Optometrist, must be licensed in the state of CT.

    As the newest member of our practice, you'll provide exceptional eye care, conduct thorough eye exams to determine and diagnose vision problems, and prescribe corrective measures such as glasses and contacts. But that's not all - you'll also play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing eye diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

    While we seek a talented and medically oriented optometrist, our ideal candidate is also a team player. We have a full staff of vibrant and personable technicians that are ready and excited to assist the doctor with pretesting, contact lens assessments, refractions, you name it

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
    • Active state Optometry license in CT (or to be licensed for new graduates)
    • Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills
    • Strong communication skills and ability to explain medical terms and procedures clearly to patients
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Experience in pediatric eye care and contact lens fittings is a plus
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records and diagnostic equipment
    • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
    • STRONG grasp of technology and able to troubleshoot when necessary

    Compensation package:

    • $70/hour

    Healthcare setting:

    • Hybrid (open to fully remote candidates)

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
    • Weekend availability is required
