    About this opportunity:

    Join our team at Ericsson as a Software Solution Architect, a critical role that drives our end-to-end technical solutions based on customer specifications and burgeoning business needs. As part of our dynamic team, you will facilitate profitable business growth by bridging customer needs and technical opportunities into robust offerings and proposals. You will support the Consultants during the requirement analysis and high-level design phases while having the chance to assume responsibilities in Customer Support, sales, and service delivery.

    What you will do:

  • Lead the design and architecture of sophisticated distributed telecom provisioning solutions, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and efficient.
  • Drive the development process, providing expert guidance in Java, Python, and other relevant technologies are mandatory.
  • Engage closely with the customer to understand their business needs and translate these into technical requirements to support new sales opportunities and addon sales.
  • Collaborate with Customer unit (CORE-3), project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects from pre-sales until delivery.
  • Mentor and lead a team of architects and developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in telecom software, incorporating best practices into our solutions; mainly focusing on cloud-native solution and microservices.
  • Ensure that our solutions comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and security.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a technical advisor to clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our solutions.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
  • The skills you bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on telecom provisioning.
  • Profound knowledge of BSS/OSS in a telecom context.
  • Strong development skills in Java and Python (Mandatory)
  • Knowledge of SOAPUI, Jenkins, CI/CD and different automation tools is a must
  • Knowledge about load testing and robustness is must
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in driving a team towards achieving project goals.
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience with telecom industry standards and protocols.

    Your Pay
    The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

  • Washington: $149,400 - $224,200
  • Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

    Your Financial Security
    We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.

    Your Time
    Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
