- Operation of instrumentation, setting up biologicals and buffer solutions
- Initiate runs, manage data, and edit run information using Python.
- Develop and optimize protocols using Python and C++ software languages.
- Develop scripts for system testing and troubleshooting using Python and C++.
- Design test and measurement methodologies for system, subsystems, and processes characterization.
- Execute experiments to measure specific system performance parameters and analyze data.
- Integrate system components and test the interaction of components.
- Prepare control software components for system operation and testing.
- Characterize fluidic components, pathways, and processes.
- Optimize the setup of all system components.
- Provide input on the generation of system requirements based on system performance.
- Verify requirements through process and test development, data analysis, and presentation.
- B.S. or M.S. in Bio-engineering, Bio-medical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or a related discipline preferably with a background in instrumentation development with min 2+ years experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, electro-mechanical integration and troubleshooting skills a must, familiarity with working with micro fluidics is a plus
- Programming experience with python required, C++ a plus
- Understanding of DNA manipulation techniques and sequencing methodologies a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record keeping skills
