Senior Network Engineer

Summary

Conexess Group is aiding a large client in their search for Senior Network Engineer. This long term contract and this person can work 100% remote. There will be occasional travel to clients in the US. Excellent communication skills and some client facing experience is highly preferred.

Job Requirements

7+ years of experience supporting WAN environments

Active certifications CCNP/CCIE

Experience with Data Center Networking, Routing, Switching, SDWAN (Cisco ASRs, NCS1k, NCS2k, NCS5k, 8000 series routers, and Arista)

Experience with optical communication systems including optics, DWDM, and other components

Experience with routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP

Familiarity with Firewall controls and load-balancing


Responsibilities:
This position will serve as the Cisco technical lead supporting customer's WAN team and their operations.

Responsible for timely interactions with the customer, Cisco CX, TAC, and account team.

Lead troubleshooting efforts and help identify areas of opportunity for network performance and functionality improvement

Escalate and work with Cisco TAC on behalf of the customer

Assist Cisco SAs and account team on identifying areas of opportunity for a closer and better partnership with customer

Strong customer focused approach and excellent communication skills
