    Job DescriptionJob Title: Pathology Assistant
    Location: New York, NY
    Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)

    Schedule Notes: (1) 10am - 6pm, Monday - Friday
    (2) 2pm - 8pm, Monday – Friday
    (3) 4pm - 12am, Monday – Friday

    Pay range:$58 - $63/hr for Locals, Negotiable Rates
    $60 - $68/hr for Travellers (Stipend provided) Negotiable Rates

    **STIPEND IS PROVIDED TO THE CANDIDATE LIVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY**
    **REFERRAL BONUS ON EACH SUCCESFUL REFERRAL**

    Duties:
    • The Pathologist Assistant assists the pathologist in the receipt, preparation and examination of surgical tissue specimens and autopsies.
    • Assures that all specimens are appropriately logged, processed and disposed of in a timely and safe manner.

    Education:
    • Undergraduate degree and completion of accredited master's Program in Pathology Assistant or equivalent.
    • American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification (ASCP) as a Pathologists Assistant required.

    Languages:
    English( Speak , Read , Write )

    Requirements:
    • ASCP
    • NYS Pathology Assistant License required.
    • 1-year surgical grossing and autopsy experience as Pathology Assistant.
