    **Description**

    **Summary/Objective:**

    The Chef Concierge will lead the concierge team at the Williamsburg Inn and the Williamsburg Lodge to offer guests a personalized and memorable guest experience. Assists Director of Call Center and Guest Services with the daily operations of the Resort Concierge team including scheduling and training supporting concierge team, handling escalations, employee relations, achieving sales goals, and resolving customer concerns. Assumes the duties of a Resort Concierge concurrent with supervisory responsibilities.

    **Essential Functions:** Provides warm, anticipatory service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests

    Provides high quality concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events, tickets, confirmations and other available services.

    Develops and maintains strong guest relationships to ensure loyalty.

    Develops and maintains positive relationships with business partners, concessionaires, local community and counterparts throughout Colonial Williamsburg.

    Coaches, leads and motivates an engaged, enthusiastic and service-driven concierge team through recruitment, training, professional development and recognition.

    Plan and coordinate department activities e.g., holiday hotel guest events, etc. meets all projects, sales goals and timelines.

    Evaluate, test and implement any ticketing software changes. Develop manuals, procedures, policies, and training materials as necessary.

    Monitors concierge job performance and provides feedback to Dir Call Center and Guest Services with recommendations for coaching and training as needed.

    Creates work schedules.

    Oversees the daily operations of the Concierge ensuring that Forbes Standards are always adhered to.

    Assists with cross departmental initiatives and serves as resort MOD when applicable.

    Ensures that guest and colleague concerns are resolved in a professional and timely manner.

    Promotes team participation and engagement with the hotels environmental initiatives.

    Works a range of shifts to meet changing business demands

    Complies with all safety regulations, and ensure a clean, safe working environment

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    **Supervision to be Exercised:**

    **Direct:** Resort Concierge Team

    **Position Type (Regular/FT) Expected Hours of Work Per Week:**

    Regular/FT/40+ week

    **Required and Preferred Education and Experience:**

    Required: Completion of high school/GED plus some college-level training in hospitality, public relations or related field or 2-3 years leadership experience or 4-5years of progressively responsible experience in Concierge, Guest Services, Front Desk, Call Center, or closely related field.

    Preferred: Bachelors degree in Hotel Management or Business Management Earned Certified Hotel Concierge (CHC) Professional Certification. Current member of Les Clefs D'Or - the Hotel Concierge Society.

    **Qualifications:**

    Minimum of 2 years experience in Concierge or Front Office, preferably gained within a 4 or 5-diamond hotel. Detailed knowledge of and interest in the Historic Area and general knowledge of other attractions. Demonstrated commitment to exemplary guest service. Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, train and develop a team. Highly motivated, organized and goal-oriented. Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills. Professional presentation and demeanor, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Comprehensive knowledge of Front Office operations. Proficient in the use of relevant computer applications, e.g. Opera, Excel, Word.
