Description

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, and the development of and adherence to internal control policies and procedures. Your role will also involve financial risk management. This is a pivotal growth role.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations Management:

• Oversee various accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll Processing, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements timely.
• Assist with regulatory reporting requirements (CMS, IRS, etc..).

Technical Accounting:

• Research and address technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Support/oversee month-end and year-end close processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Analyze variances and provide insights to improve financial performance.

Internal Controls:

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

Compliance:

• Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Work closely with external auditors during financial audits.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Controller.At least 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience (public accounting experience a plus).
