Description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant / Lab Tech to join our team at Charlotte Correctional Institution located in Punta Gorda, Florida. The CNA works under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. The CNA is responsible for drawing blood, checking vital signs, finger stick blood sugars, and assisting with activities of daily living for patients in a correctional healthcare environment. Shift- M-F 430am-1pm.

Qualifications

• Florida CNA license
• Phlebotomy certification a plus
• Current CPR
• One year experience in acute care, long term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred
• Corrections experience not required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
