    Compensation: $99,784 to $129,945 annually DOQ plus a hiring bonus of $5,000 upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. The 2024 salary range will be increased by a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) effective July 1, 2024 in an amount to be determined by the City in early March.

    The City of Sandy is seeking a Finance Director for this picturesque community of 12,991 tucked in the foothills of Oregon's rugged Cascade Mountains 27 miles east of Portland. Sandy is known for its scenic beauty, small-town feel, and ideal location between Portland and the Mount Hood National Forest. The City of Sandy operates under a Council-Manager form of government with a biennial budget of $127.6 million and a team of 83 FTEs.

    THE FINANCE DIRECTOR

    Reporting to the City Manager, the Finance Director serves as a member of the City's management team and provides leadership, management, direction, planning and goal setting for the City's Finance Department to ensure delivery of quality municipal services. The Finance Director is responsible for financial and strategic planning for all financial issues facing the City of Sandy and Sandy Urban Renewal Agency. The Finance Department operates with a biennial budget of $596,000 and a team of 3.5 FTEs.
