    Litigation Legal Secretary

    We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team at an AMLaw 200 firm.

    The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting attorneys by handling secretarial and clerical tasks, managing schedules, and maintaining files.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide secretarial and clerical support to attorneys, including opening and sorting mail, logging attorney time on timesheets as necessary.
    • Enter attorney time sheets into the system daily and answer incoming calls, providing non-legal information, routing calls to attorneys, and taking messages.
    • Transcribe dictation using the BigHand dictation system and prepare correspondence independently for attorney approval.
    • Prepare legal documents as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines, and maintain and organize files, coordinating with file clerks as needed.
    • Schedule depositions, meetings, and appointments for attorneys, deliver or collect documents to/from courthouses or other legal offices, and make travel arrangements.
    • Maintain attorney's diary and calendar system, and perform additional administrative duties as required to support the legal team.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or legal environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and coworkers, and exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a team environment.
