    Position:
    Patient Care Technician - Intermediate Care Unit - Nights
    Full Time, 36 hours per week

    Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am, Every other weekend


    Required Travel:
    No


    Assists patients with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, oral care, eating, use of bedpan or urinal, positioning, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc.

    under the supervision of a RN/LPN.
    maintains physical safety and comfort of patient under supervision of a RN/LPN.

    As directed by RN/LPN performs procedures such as EKG's, perineal care, emptying of foley bags, application of restraints, backrubs, etc.

    Documents basic patient care into electronic medical record.
    Assists nursing and clerical staff with admitting, discharging, transferring, ambulating, transporting, and observing patients to ensure safety as directed. Adequately answers unit phones and can effectively direct phone calls to the appropriate parties. Completion of an accredited CNA course and the successful completion of the CNA certification exam, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with the completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation required
