- Prepare patient for examination and assist provider with exam and procedure as needed and
- Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics and prep chart accurately take age appropriate vital signs
- Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab
- Assist provider with complex dressing changes and perform simple wound care and dressing changes and administer injections and nebulizer treatments as ordered and administer peak flow meter test for respiratory assessment
- Clean and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization and set up the exam rooms
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant
- Current CPR Certification
- 6 yrs of experience working in a Physician Office setting, preferred
- Knowledge of information and techniques in providing excellent patient care
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as electronic transmission via facsimile and/or internet
- Good computer skills including the use of office procedures and terminology
- Good self motivational and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work all health center sites
- Understanding of the complexities of integrating services
- Knowledge of data management through use of IT
