    Responsibilities

    The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) Advisor will assist in the supervision/implementation of HS&E compliance programs for the Jay region.

    May assist in development of HS&E programs for local operations or company-wide implementation.

    Position will be based in Jay, FL and support Plant operations in the Jay field and O&G operations in South Florida.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience is required.
    • Processing plant (refinery or chemical) experience is required.
    • Risk Engineering experience is preferred.
    • Support Operations in all HS&E elements including plant safety, field level PSM support, well servicing, production operations, and D&C activities
    • Drive company culture as it relates to safety and sustainability
    • Conduct day-to-day compliance, environmental and safety functions
    • Assist in collecting and maintaining necessary, permits, plans, regulatory programs, and emission inventories
    • Coordinate with HS&E, Operations, and contractors on addressing issues including scheduling source tests, field monitoring, and verification testing
    • Conduct air quality compliance associated with Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) monitoring programs at oil & gas facilities including Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)
    • Assist HS&E and Operations leadership with permitting issues, identification of potential problem areas (e.g. wildlife surveys, wetland delineations), evaluation of options and mitigations, and assist in set up of compliance mechanisms as necessary
    • Conduct incident response and documentation for injuries, spills, MVAs, property damage, etc., including initial, investigation, follow-up and written reporting. Maintain all necessary files for incident documentation
    • Project management of remediation projects including budgets and execution
    • Coordinate with Operations to conduct regulatory audits and inspections, including conducting formalized field reviews of compliance efforts in conjunction with HS&E leadership
    • Act as regulatory agency liaison for inspections and site visits
    • Assist HS&E leadership in updating and maintaining all regulatory required manuals.
    • Schedule and conduct safety and regulatory training sessions in conjunction with HS&E leadership. Maintain all necessary training and meeting records. Conduct new hire and contractor orientations
    Qualifications

    • BS in technical discipline preferred
    • Minimum 10 years experience in HS&E discipline with a Plant Safety focus. Environmental experience preferred
    • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with operations including management and operators
    • Ability to establish and meet goals, priorities, and deadlines
    • Ability to build and sustain relationships with company personnel as well as contractors and agency representatives.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint and Outlook
