    Description

    Job Title

    Assists pharmacists in entering medication orders into the computer, answers inbound and outbound calls, and provides pharmacy benefit information to patients or PBM staff. Works Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enters patient, doctor, insurance, payment, and prescription information accurately into the computer system.
    • Processes orders, adjudicates claims, applies copay assistance, and charges payments as necessary.
    • Interprets medical abbreviations (SIG Codes).
    • Reads and reviews prescriptions, troubleshoots missing information, and performs basic computations.
    • Maintains contact with clinical staff regarding specialty drugs.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of prior Pharmacy Technician experience in order entry preferred.
    • Pharmacy Technician registration required; certification preferred.
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
    • Good communication skills.

    Salary Range: $32,000 - $35,200 per year
