Description

Responsibilities:

Perform quick POCs to experiment and establish foundations for the engineering team
Support engineers and project managers in swift development and deployment
Actively engage in team and company-wide architecture and engineering conversations
Introduce corporate architectural concepts and resolutions into the portfolio
Lead both high-level and detailed design and conduct design evaluations
Collaborate and cooperate with cross-functional leaders to grasp and help outline business principles, objectives, and strategy within designated responsibilities
Communicate with senior leaders about strategic direction and modifications
Guide engineers and solution architects to ensure clear comprehension of technological complexities for prompt implementation of high-quality solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

8 or more years of substantial hands-on Java experience and backend or middleware processing familiarity
Extensive background in designing and deploying large-scale cloud-native platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability
Robust experience in applications with high performance and throughput
Proficiency in microservices architectures and service mesh technologies is desirable
Effective written and verbal communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Demonstrated collaboration skills alongside the capability to influence without direct authority
Hands-on familiarity with Java, Go, Vert.x, React, Envoy, gRPC, Protobuf, Postgres, CouchBase, Cassandra, Redis, Consul, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, GitHub Actions, Drools, Elastic Stack, Kafka, Spark, ML preferred
In-depth expertise in:

Domain Expertise in one or more architectural specializations with broad exposure to relevant technology domains
Domain Driven Designs
Best Practices in Enterprise Architecture
Enterprise Architecture Playbook
Versatility in API Design, API Lifecycle Management, and Implementation, advising data or information architecture
Experience in establishing architecture standards, guidelines, and architecture decision records (ADRs)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required; Advanced Degree preferred
