    Overview:

    Our client is a pivotal force in the infrastructure domain of Florida, especially in the construction inspection of roadways and bridges. We are looking for a meticulous Senior CEI Inspector to expand our Jacksonville, FL team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of FDOT standards, committed to ensuring excellence and safety in our infrastructure projects.

    Role Summary:

    The Engineering Construction Inspector is a key member of our field inspection team, responsible for overseeing the construction of roadways and bridges to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with FDOT standards and project specifications. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of Florida's transportation infrastructure by conducting rigorous inspections and reporting on construction activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • detailed inspections of roadway and bridge construction projects to ensure adherence to all applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
    • document inspection results and compile comprehensive reports to maintain records of construction compliance with FDOT requirements.
    • collaboratively with the construction crews, project engineers, and managers to discuss and rectify potential issues identified during inspections.
    • track of construction progress, focusing on aspects such as earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete reinforcement, and structural steelwork.
    • and handle inspection tools in accordance with industry best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
    • years' experience with FDOT projects (concrete, steel, bridges, soil), performing CEI tasks.
    • about FDOT construction procedures and policies.
    • certifications: Certified Construction Inspector (CCI) or equivalent.
    • communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
    • certifications relevant to FDOT construction projects.
    • knowledge of FDOT's construction standards, practices, and specifications.
