Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Duties
**This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30, 2024. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be March 20, 2024 with subsequent cut-off dates every 2 weeks. The Physician position is located in our Emergency Department, organizationally aligned under the Primary Care Service, at the VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS), Fresno, CA. VACCHCS provides a full range of patient care services, as well as education. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary, secondary, and long-term care in the areas of primary care, specialty medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care. VACCHCS is affiliated with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Fresno Medical Education Program and provides a rich academic environment including postgraduate medical education training for residents and fellows in specialties and sub-specialties.
