    Environment, Health, & Safety "EHS" Specialist - San Juan Capistrano, CA | Monday to Friday

    Pay Range:
    $63,350 - $113,950 / year


    Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, certifications obtained.

    Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

    The EHS Specialist is responsible for administering, developing and coordinating programs designed to protect employees and the environment from harmful accidents.

    Responsibilities also include assuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to employee health and safety.


    • Adapts and implements corporate safety, health and environmental policies.
    • Develops, administers or coordinates plans and programs designed to maintain high level of safety awareness among managers and employees.
    • Administers all aspects of the workers' compensation insurance function.
    • Provides monthly safety reports to upper management and regional managers.
    • Performs or coordinates on-site safety inspections at main laboratory campus, STAT labs, PSCs and other field locations.
    • Analyzes accident/incident trends and develops training or other programs to reduce incidents.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Work Experience:
    3+ years of related experience


    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Commercial Clinical Laboratory Operations, and defensive driving skills and techniques.
    • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA and DOT federal and state regulations.

    EDUCATION
    Bachelor's Degree (Required)


    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
