    Job Summary:

    Your role as an HR Business Partner will be far from one-dimensional. You will undertake a wide range of People Operations tasks, like organizing training, administering leaves and crafting People Operations policies. You will also act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to support the VP of People Operations to ensure the People Operations department's operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • Provides counsel and support to managers on issues of company/HR policy application.
    • Practices strong engagement with all colleagues including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect while building lasting, trusting relationships.
    • Owns offboarding process for all staff including resignations, terminations, and conducting exit interviews.
    • Works to resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary meetings, and resolving disputes.
    • Analyzes organizational health issues and develops/executes plans to address problem areas.
    • Provides guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to leadership.
    • Prepares reports, analyzes data, and identifies trends in employee feedback, turnover, and performance, and provides solutions to leadership.
    • Facilitates HR processes to ensure an ethical, fair, and consistent approach.
    • Assists with the creation and implementation of effective training and development programs to meet SOP requirements, skill proficiency, development, and compliance.
    • Coordinates creation and development of materials for all company bi-monthly meetings.
    • Manages company Glassdoor and Indeed accounts.
    • Oversees People Operations systems including performance management, employee sensing, and LMS.
    • Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development (including mentorship program, internship program, DEI, etc.).
    • Owns company performance management processes including annual/midyear reviews, coaching, educating, and providing feedback to managers.
    • Handles FMLA process from the employee's initial notice of need for leave to the return to work, including gathering and completing required paperwork, determining eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
    • Assists with all HR communications, including writing and speaking with managers and employees.
    • Supports VP of People Operations in tasks including decision-making activities related to employees, scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow.
    • Promotes a positive work environment and culture, supporting internal initiatives including Team Hope and Team Impact.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Stays updated on all state employment laws where we are registered.
    • Remains knowledgeable on updated trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Supports HR team as needed, including but not limited to conducting pre-employment screenings, facilitating onboarding, supporting recruitment, etc.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (PayCor).

    Education / Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
    • 5+ years of human resources experience
    • SHRM-CP or PHR highly preferred
