Job summary
The Shift Manager coordinates the Safety and Quality activities and oversees production of a production line in accordance with safety material quality and production standards. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards perform safety quality and environmental audits on a timely basis Uphold and enforce safety environmental job procedures maintain general discipline of the crew Monitor the operation intercede promptly with corrective action coordinating multiple disciplines in execution of these duties Schedule supervise hourly personnel working directly with them on shop floor from shift managers office Ensure direct reports receive proper training utilization while establishing equitable relationship focused excellence safety productivity Work maintenance organization planners schedulers developing work lists repair preventative maintenance items Make operational decisions high stress situations following direction superiors abiding corporate policies procedures Develop perform studies identify problems make recommendations achieve desired improvements communicate process improvement ideas workforce promote reliability quality productivity Supervise turn crew operating maintenance personnel operating department assigned Communicate upstream downstream operations non Cleveland Cliffs contractors coordinate work deliveries service Other duties assignedJob description
