The Senior Equipment Operator position involves operating vehicles and equipment for solid waste collection, construction maintenance street sweeping vegetation management duties drainage installation repairs Performs daily pre-trip post-trip DOT inspection checks assigned vehicles equipment Maintains cleanliness facilities surrounding area Operates City vehicles equipment including automated side-load refuse collection vehicle automated front-load refuse collection vehicle roll-off refuse collection vehicle backhoe articulated loader stationary boom crane Uses power tools equipment such as backhoe loader portable jackhammer dump truck water truck street sweeper motor grader paver roller weed eater chainsaw Works close proximity moving traffic pedestrians Fells trees applies herbicides weed management Performs routine maintenance repair on vehicles equipment Sets up operates grade checking equipmen including builders levels laser levels Daily safety checks assigned vehicles equipment Reads street road signs maps handwritten typewritten material Makes decisions related daily field work Trains prospective drivers commercial driver exam Adheres safety rules assists participates safety programs required OSHA including job hazard assessments training proper personal protective equipmen Performs office duties answering phones submitting work orders Lucity tracking collection routes LiGo auditing routes writing memos dispatching drives Provides face face phone customer service responds customer complaints issues requests service inquiries related solid waste Street Maintenance services Ensures proper records logs time sheet information incidents reports carry-out requests operational data entered Munis Lucity Solid Waste Drive Recommends assists implementation organizational goals objectives implements policies procedures Assumes responsibilities supervisor absence Maintains City equipmen clean safe operating condition Perfores other duties assigneQualifications
