- Facilitate recruitment, selection, training, and development for student staff positions, including human resource management-related tasks.
- Provide supervision and leadership for Housing Area Coordinator staff.
- Create and Manage partnerships with internal and external partners.
- Attends, participates in, and provides support to all training, in-services, staff retreats, departmental or supervisor staff meetings, and/or University committees or Task Forces as requested.
- Coordinate the implementation and expansion of living learning communities.
- Serve as the chair of the Residential Learning Community Committee.
- Coordinate the recruitment and training of faculty supporting Residential Learning Communities.
- Manage and participate in operations-related processes as assigned including, but not limited to hall openings and hall closings.
- Prepare regular assessment reports on programming structure, student staff performance, and residential experience.
- Represent department at campus events including New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, Visitation Days and other recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Manage programming structure for student engagement and development.
- Responds as needed to crisis/emergency situations and serves as needed in an on-call capacity.
- Represent the University through participation in state and regional professional organizations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal mandates.

- Master's degree in higher education, student personnel or related field
- Experience in the field of Living Learning Communities at the University level
- Experience in developing, implementing and assessing strategic goals, objectives, and outcomes.

- Experience in developing residential programs and education initiatives.
- Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector desired
- Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.

Position Summary:
This position will provide leadership and supervision for the residence life staff and direction for the development, implementation, and assessment of Residential Living Communities for the undergraduate student body with a focus on student learning, academic success, student engagement and leadership development.
The Assistant Director of Residence Life will serve as the primary contact person for faculty and staff who will be working with the residential living communities.
This position will oversee the selection, training, and management of Community Assistants.The Assistant Director of Residence Life is responsible for the community development and support within the residential halls and will oversee programming and education initiatives for the fourteen residential units which house a maximum of 2,000 students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Residence Life and Housing, the Assistant Director of Residence Life will provide administrative support and leadership for the development and implementation of residence life at Campbell University including the residential living communities.
