Utility Safety Program Coordinator - El Paso

The Utility Safety Program Coordinator will develop manage and evaluate transportation safety and inspection activities risk management and environmental requirements oversee safe and compliant transportation operations conduct research manage incidents advise leadership train drivers and represent the organization in regulatory public settings plan conduct research prepare technical safety research analysis evaluate findings identify significant issues determine options and develop recommendations on complex transit safety projects serve as technical adviser to El Paso Water officials advise leadership promptly of situations or issues that have or could lead to deviation from expected results recommend appropriate solutions or options provide assistance training to drivers address other safety-related issues perform driver road checks of driver performance determine appropriate compliance administrative forms/requirements manage the safety program based on applicable TXDOT regulations department policies support a safe compliant work environment inspect equipment worksites investigate accidents coordinate corrective preventative actions work with operations establish corrective preventative actions eliminate accidents respond investigate employee accidents injuries property damage incidents prepare reports maintain files records assist participate in safety meetings oversee coordinate regular accident review committee ARC meetings determine preventability of accidents develop policies conduct audits assessments analyze data coordinate with regulatory external partners draft review recommend revisions organizational policies observe compile document results identify areas improvement participate compliance activities prepare regulatory reports coordinate corrective action response audit findings compile analyze data for Safety Key Performance Indicators KPI trends develop deliver oversee training programs meetings recertifications ensure compliance continuous improvement plan design implement comprehensive training programs field staff enhance safety culture conduct monthly quarterly annual inspections inspect vehicles equipment supervise assigned staff schedule assign instruct guide check work appraise employee performance provide training development enforce personnel rules regulations behavior standards impartially counsel motivate maintain harmony interview applicants recommend hiring discipline status changesJob description
