    Apogee is seeking a SeniorNetwork Engineer in support of the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Directorate (SSC/SZQ) at Peterson SFB, CO.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications
    • Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics
    • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using application of engineering principles
    • Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures
    • Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems with a concentration on end-to-end communications from sensor/source through C2 node(s) to end users
    • Provide system engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight
    • Advise and ensure high quality work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked ITW/AA C2 systems across all levels of the mission environment
    • Analyze and recommend network requirements
    • Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
    • Analyze network workload
    • Monitor network capacity and performance
    • Diagnose and resolve network problems
    • Recommend network backup and recovery procedures
    • Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies,
      principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
    What you'll need:
    • Security Clearance Required: Secret
    • One of the following education/experience combinations:
      • Master's degree and 8+ years' relevant experience (must include 5 years of DoD experience), OR
      • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' relevant experience (must include 5 years of DoD experience), OR
      • 16+ years relevant experience (must include 8 years of DoD experience) with appropriate certifications
    • Minimum of IAT Level I certification
    • Comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in network engineering area of expertise
    • Ability to interact professionally with DoD end users, DoD customer, and contract support personnel
    • Working knowledge of the following tools: SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Rational tool sets
    Benefits & Compensation:
    • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
    • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
    • The pay range for this position is $108,195 to $180,326 across the U.S. The starting base pay for this position will be between $108,000 and $150,000.There is also a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training and education.
