    Job Description:

    The Board Finance team works with and supports a variety of customers including Fidelity-wide business unit leaders, and independent trustees. A successful candidate will develop and use their knowledge of the Fidelity businesses and investment products to support the renewal of mutual fund fee contracts.

    The Financial Analyst is part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information for Fidelity s boards.



    The Role

    The Board Finance team is responsible for providing the Fidelity Trustees with materials and analysis in support of their consideration of the Funds contracts with Fidelity. The team interacts with each business division and is focused primarily on the competitiveness of fund fees and the profitability of the mutual fund business.



    Primary responsibilities include:

    Lead person for Intermediary distribution channel portion of Fund Profitability results; work with finance and business partners to understand how changes within the business impact Fund Profitability; report quarterly and annual results to broader team and senior leaders

    Perform operational tasks related to assigned portion of Fund Profitability model; collaborate with technology partners to resolve any issues; assist with monthly rollover process

    Contribute to various ad hoc projects, including Board-requested analyses, review of methodology, etc.



    The Expertise and Skills You Bring
    • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
    • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in the financial services industry
    • A self-motivated teammate who brings energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity
    • Works effectively as part of a team, and successfully collaborates with business partners
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently to perform tasks
    • Strong written and oral communication skills can articulate clearly with all levels of employees
    • Proficiency in modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Oracle BI, Power BI)
    • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, digestible, and actionable stories
    • Ability to respond to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work


    The Team

    The team provides to each of the five Fidelity Boards of Trustees the Fund Profitability information and analysis they need in order to annually approve the Fidelity funds investment management, transfer agency, and pricing & bookkeeping contracts.
