Summary You will serve as a Pipefitter in the Production Division, Public Works Department Oceana, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic.
Duties * You will interpret pipefitting assignments (e.g., work orders, building plans, blueprints) to meet workload requirements.* You will make pressure joints (e.g., threaded, flanged welded, flange bolted, brazed, soldered, silver brazed) to install piping sections.
* You will calculate pipe, joint, or valve sizes needed to support pressures of systems. * You will inspect and test systems for damage, leaks, and blockages in lines, expansion joints, valves and traps. * You will determine causes of problems and recommend corrective action on pipefitting work.
