Description
The Assistant Professor of Athletic Training provides instruction and advising to graduate and
undergraduate students. Academically, the position will involve teaching 6-7 credits (typically 2-3
courses) per semester. Clinically, the position may provide healthcare for one primary sport, and
supervision of AT students in the clinical setting. This is a non-tenure track, full-time (10-month)
position beginning late-July 2024 with the possibility of multiple year extensions. The Assistant
Professor of Athletic Training will report directly to the Chair of Health Science & Athletic Training.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Professional Experience:
(A) A terminal degree in Athletic Training or related field is preferred.
(B) BOC certification as an ATC with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience beyond graduate studies.
(C) Academic teaching and clinical preceptor experience.
(D) State of Ohio licensure or eligibility is required prior to starting date.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Knowledge of operation and use of various office equipment including, but not limited to: personal computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software, integrated database software, fax machine, copier, telephone, scanner, and printers. Employee in this position must have a valid Ohio driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use arms, hands and fingers to operate and manipulate equipment generally found in an office setting. The employee may be frequently required to be mobile, communicate, and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office setting, and educational facilities including sports and entertainment venues, all of which may be indoor or outdoor. The noise level in the work environment will range from moderately quiet to occasionally loud.
