    The Future Technical Leaders (FTL) program seeks high potential advanced degree candidates from all technical backgrounds. The program consists of three, one-year assignments in different roles, organizations, locations, customers and mission areas within Northrop Grumman.

    Rotational assignment(s) may include systems or software engineering, in any technology areas, or opportunities to explore non-technical areas such as business development and project management.

    This position will be located in Huntsville, AL .

    As a member of the Network Team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing complex network architectures.

    You will be responsible for supporting state-of-the-art solutions that utilize TCP/IP networks and communications.

    Your skills will be put to the test as you evaluate and conduct trade studies on switches and routers, provide implementation and troubleshooting services on installed and test networks, and develop test plans, procedures, and reports for evaluated equipment and test events.

    Your contributions will be essential in driving innovation and progress in the field of network architecture.


    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Science with 9 years of experience or Master's Degree and 7 years of experience or PhD with 4 years of experienceHands-on experience with TCP/IP networks, fiber, and RF communicationsHands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewallsHands-on experience with network evaluation and troubleshooting toolsExperience writing test plans, test procedures, test reports, and trade studiesActive DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Active CCNP or equivalent certificationFamiliarity with OSPF and L2TP protocolsFamiliarity with DOD network STIGs related to switches and routersExperience testing and integrating in a System of Systems (SoS) environment to meet evolving requirements

    Salary Range:
    $127,000 - $190,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
