    Description

    As the Armys primary integrator of C5ISR technologies and systems, the U.S. Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center conducts Research and Development, or R&D, across a wide variety of capability areas that support all of the Armys Modernization priorities. These include cyberspace operations, electronic warfare, intelligence, data analysis and fusion, tactical network design, wireless communications, radar, sensors, electro-optics, mission command applications, autonomy and machine learning, power and energy, modeling and simulation, counter-IED, minefield detection/defeat and assured positioning, navigation and timing. It is through employment of a dedicated and superior workforce, world class facilities and global partnerships that the C5ISR Center delivers needed capabilities to our Warfighters.

    C5ISR is seeking a mid-level level Networking Engineer with familiarity with communication networks.

    Responsibilites

    • Engage in supporting projects related to tactical network technologies and products.
    • Selected candidate will be involve in supporting test and evaluation of communications technologies, products and solutions for application to current and future military networks and systems.
    • Support technical tasks in the integration of data in the Tactical Network, engineering and technical documentation and assistance in the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software/hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise at fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural/interoperability support, and quality engineering.
    • Contribute technical support in the equipment labs.
    • Develop equipment and network configurations and products.

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge in Network administration and management concepts, practices, and networking automation tools.
    • Basic knowledge in communications and networking technologies.
    • Basic understanding of radio frequency and signal transmission and processing concepts a plus.
    • Knowledge in programming and scripting in multiple languages.
    • Experience utilizing network testing tools such as IPERF and Spirent Cyberflood.
    • Knowledgeable in deploying and managing VMware tools.
    • Experience deploying and utilizing Linux-based operating systems.
    • Knowledge in maintaining and analyzing stored databases using the SQL scripting language.
    • Knowledge in Cisco networking devices, CCNA a plus.
    • Ability to identify areas for improvement, automation, and modernization.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with audience of various technical skill levels.
    • Bachelors degree in a STEM (ABET accredited) program, or a closely related discipline.
    • Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance
