    Position Overview:

    This position is responsible for administratively assisting the sales and catering department in achieving revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Efficiently and effectively coordinates sales and catering efforts. Follows company high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Organizational Structure:

    Department: Sales & Marketing

    Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

    Reports To: Sales Manager and Director of Sales

    Supervision: NA

    Pay Structure: Hourly, Paid Bi-weekly.

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Answers in-coming calls, qualifies, and distributes customer inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provides administrative support for the department, including data entry, completion of sales reports, and the accuracy and timely handling of signed contracts.
    • Contributes to client's overall satisfaction by handling all inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assists in problem-solving and ensures overall quality of group sales and catering efforts.
    • Assists and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner while providing the highest level of quality service to the guest.
    • Works as a team player in meeting guests' needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary.
    • Understands and follows hotel guest service recovery program.
    • Coordinates with sales team to ensure space and resources are utilized appropriately.
    • Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
    • May also be responsible for inventory and ordering of office supplies.
    • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Follows all company procedures for guest/associate incidents.
    • Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties.
    • Adheres to company attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures.
    • Responsible for self/workload management.
    • Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills.
    • Promotes collaboration and a positive, professional environment.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • High school diploma or GED certification required.
    • Experience in Hotel Sales and Event planning.
    • Hilton or Marriott brand experience preferred.
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
    • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft applications and Google Applications
    • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
