- Develops, manages, and fields the Joint Staff Civilian Leader Professional Development and Training (CLPDT), policies, and programs.
- Designs, develops, and implements situational analysis approaches and techniques to assess the current state of the Joint Staff Civilian Leader Professional Development and Training program for any of a variety of issues such as establishing an orientation program for new members of the workforce, and requirements for developing incumbents in professional development.
- Performs all processes related to procurement of training and training requirements, student registration and confirmation, quota management, training completions and no-shows, interface with automated tracking systems and management of SF 182 training requests for the Joint Staff.
- Applies broad management objectives and implications of training; knowledge of incumbent development theory, principles, and practices; and particularly knowledge of the latest developments and applications in the field of incumbent development and training;
- Provides management advisory services for organizations that are frequently complex, new, or dynamic in nature including high-level professional and managerial officials with training needs that are top priority to JS and senior leadership

- Applying Federal management and Human Resources principles, theories, and practices as they relate to Human Resources Development functions; and
