    Qualifications:
    1. At least a high school diploma
    2. One year of business college or three years of successful secretarial experience
    3. Competent organizational and filing skills
    4. Have excellent work ethics, integrity, and good moral character
    5. Skills in interpersonal relationships
    6. Ability to maintain confidentiality
    7. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar
    and vocabulary
    1. Proficient in the use of Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) or an equivalent computer software program

    Terms of Employment: To be determined by the Board of Education

    Salary: $13.15 to $17.71 (based on exp.)

    Job Goal: Maintain an efficient office and appropriately assist the principal and staff in support of the district's mission.

    Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
    1. Assume a positive role for public relations in representing the school system.
    2. Perform general secretarial duties such as:
      1. Typing and duplicating
      2. Word processing and editing
      3. Preparing correspondence
      4. Record keeping and filing
      5. Preparing reports, orders, and purchase orders
      6. Appropriate use of telephone
      7. Operate office equipment
    3. Performs the following secretarial duties specific to the assigned position:
      1. Maintain all attendance records on a daily basis
      2. Dispense all daily medications with documentation
      3. Administer basic first aid, contacting parent and/or school nurse if necessary
      4. Telephone receptionist
      5. Handle scheduling of parent/teacher conferences
      6. Greet and direct all visitors as necessary
      7. Handle teacher requests for supplies
      8. Distribute mail
      9. Request and receive records concerning incoming and outgoing students
      10. Maintain all forms and ordered clerical supplies
      11. Enter all disciplinary forms into the computer, and maintain and produce the
    corresponding reports for administrators
    1. Any other duties as requested by the school administrator.
    2. Demonstrates consistent attendance.
    Working Environment:

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

    Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and a significant fine. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 30% walking, 10% lifting/carrying, and 20% standing.
