    Our Industrial Group Christiansburg Team is looking for an Accountant to join them. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of plant costs and expenses. You will support operations by providing reporting information to aid in measuring plant performance and management decisions. You will report to the Assistant Controller and will have an onsite work schedule in Christiansburg, Virginia.
    To be considered for an Accountant, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or an Associate's degree (or equivalent coursework) in Accounting or related field with minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.

    Proven ability to complete work on time and ensure accuracy of recorded amounts.
    Ability to resolve issues of limited to moderate complexity relating to responsibilities within the accounting process.
    Ability to use written and verbal communication skills to communicate throughout organization.
    Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
    Experience with SAP is a plus.
    Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
    As an Accountant, you will be responsible for...
    Accounts payable invoice coding and monitoring for non-PO items.
    Journal entries.
    Month end accrual of expenses.
    Help with Labor and Inventory audits.
    Petty cash administration.
    Maintain cost standards in SAP on new and existing items.
    Various data analysis and reports as needed to inform operations management of plant performance.
    Accounting or administrative support to other departments within the plant.
