The position of Lead Mailing Operator involves preparing customer orders for delivery via USPS by packing labeling stamping bundling mail using hands or mail handling machines addressing sealing stamping folding stuffing affixing postage to outgoing packages setting up operating inserters inkjet printers mailing devices maintaining quality standards troubleshooting complex jobs issues driving schedules for team members assisting Production Director assessing workload operator competency participating in working interviews operating mail processing machines sorting packaging mail according to USPS requirements verifying items addressed correctly marked with proper postage suitable condition for processing reviewing production quality initiating corrective action determining way mail sent preparing it for delivery ensuring accuracy of work performed producing highest quality product for client troubleshooting clearing jams problems in mailing equipment communicating supervisors peers subordinates receiving aiding entering information into computer tracking jobs assignments coordinating assisting other members working job assignments departments as needed performing minor maintenance cleaning machinery as required.Job description
